Between 1983 and 2008, Richard was the Founder, Chairman, CEO and majority shareholder of Flamingo Holdings which he grew into East Africa’s leading horticulture exporter. In 2009, Richard invested in Hemingways Travel (then known as Express Travel Group), which he brought into the Hemingways group in 2011. He remains in the position of Group Chairman.

Prior to joining the group, he worked for BNY Mellon, a US financial institution, for 09 years specializing in transaction banking and capital markets. During his banking career, he worked in London, Singapore and India. Ross holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Economics from Cardiff University and Investment Management Certificate from CFA Society of the UK. Ross is a Director of Naboisho Conservancy and a member of the Kenya Coast Working Group formed under the direction of Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife. Ross was born and raised in Kenya and is married with two children.

He has over 16 years’ finance experience across different industry sectors and geographies, particularly Asia and Africa, with an emphasis on scaling new portfolio businesses in emerging markets. He has spent the last four years as CFO of Africa Logistics Properties (ALP) in Kenya where he was a key member of the Executive team as well as having responsibility for all areas of finance. Prior to ALP, he worked in various senior finance roles within the Swire Group, a multi-billion-dollar Global conglomerate. Rob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Newcastle (UK), is a UK Chartered Management Accountant and holds an Advanced Executive Management Qualification from INSEAD Business School (France). Rob is married with three children and lives in Nairobi.

Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from USIU, Diploma in Business Administration from Kenya Institute of Management, Certified Public Accountant (CPAK) and Certified Public Company Secretary (CPSK). He spent the early part of his career with MGI Group Adam & Associates as an Auditor for 8 years and then spent 6 years as Group Financial controller in Sovereign Group Ltd and DL Group Limited. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Kenya Institute of Management as well as a member of the Certified Public Secretaries (CPSK).

He holds an Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business Administration, from the United States International University (USIU) and is currently awaiting to graduate with an MBA in Strategic Management from the same University. He is an accomplished Relationship Management Professional, and understands how to prioritize our clients’ needs. He monitors all aspects of our Sales and Marketing Department and ensures that there is continuous value addition to our clientele. In his free time, David like to travel, play golf and socialize..

She is based at the offices’ headquarters in Karen - Nairobi. Rachael holds an IATA / UFTAA diploma from Geneva Switzerland and is a certified Hotels Sales Specialist (Marriott Hotels). Rachael is customer service oriented with wide knowledge in the travel and airline industry. Her invaluable experience spans 20+ years.

He is a holder of a Diploma from Kenya Utalii College and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Leisure and Recreation from CHN university, Netherlands. In his free time, Soita likes to travel, watch sports and engage in philanthropic activities.

A holder of Business Management degree from Moi University with experience in client relations and sales. With Key roles in expanding services both local and international, ensuring fleet is diverse and up to standard, projecting & forecasting growth of existing corporate clients, strong relations with suppliers, manage client issues and ensuring feed backs of varying complexity are resolved to the customers’ satisfaction. His diverse knowledge in the field of travel in relation to Rentals and leasing is of additional value to our clientele.
